The heat will make its components unify and then, when they return to room temperature, they are fully integrated.

What do you need?

  • 1 candle
  • Broken lipstick
  • Small wooden stick
  • Refrigerator

What should you do?

  1. First, light the candle.
  2. Then twist the lipstick until all of the pencil is exposed.
  3. Carefully pass both ends of the pencil that you want to repair through the fire, without burning them.
  4. As soon as they melt a little, remove from heat.
  5. Join both parts and exert a slight pressure, and they will be fixed.
  6. Then, seal the edges with the help of a wooden stick, so it will be one piece again.
  7. Finally, take it to the refrigerator to finish solidifying.

2. Heat damaged lipstick

When we forget our cosmetics in the car on a hot day, or near a stove or in the sun, lipsticks are very likely to melt. There is a way to recover it and use it until it is completely finished without losing its texture or color.

What do you need?

  • 1 candle
  • 1 metal spoon
  • Paper napkins
  • Small new container
  • Fridge
  • Clip

What should you do?

  1. First, place the paper napkin as a tablecloth to avoid staining the table if it gets lipstick when it melts.
  2. Then light the candle.
  3. Next, spoon the spoiled lipstick and hold it  over the flame until it melts and no lumps are visible.
  4. Then pour the contents of the spoon into the container.
  5. With the clip, remove the ruined lipstick that has remained at the bottom of the container and place it in the spoon to take to the fire. Repeat the steps above.
  6. Cap the container once all the material has been placed.
  7. Finally, put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

3. Recycle your old lipstick and turn it into a lip gloss

If you have broken, old or a shade that is not to your liking, do not throw them away. Since with a very simple method you can get lip gloss like new. If you want, you can add 2 drops of edible oil for flavor.

What do you need?

  • 1 pot
  • Metal container that fits loosely into the pot
  • Water
  • 1 tablespoon of beeswax (15 g)
  • Peeler
  • 2 tablespoons of liquid petroleum jelly (30 ml)
  • Clean small container
  • Lip

What should you do?

  1. First, put water in the pot up to the middle of it.
  2. Bring to the fire until it boils and then, keep on low heat.
  3. With a peeler, grate the beeswax and put it in the smaller container.
  4. Add the liquid petroleum jelly and mix everything well.
  5. Next, add the lipstick. The amount depends on the shade you want.
  6. Stir until all components are melted.
  7. Finally, put it in the container and let it cool.
