Chicken With Beer

Beer chicken is a variant of grilled or baked chicken. It is a very simple and delicious recipe that will appeal to diners of all ages. In addition, it is very helpful if guests come unexpectedly, it is inexpensive and you need ingredients that we all have at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 can of beer
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Olive oil
  • ΒΌ cup of paprika (30 g)
  • 1 lump of brown sugar
  • 1 lump of granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of salt (10 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of onion salt (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper (5 g)
  • 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper (10 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder (5 g)
  • Potatoes, peppers, onions, garlic or tomatoes for garnish (to taste)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Then gather the ingredients for your spice mix.
  2. Mix all the spices in a bowl and reserve
  3. Clean the cavity of the chicken to ensure that the kidneys and other giblets are removed.
  4. Rinse the chicken in cold water, then rub paper towels over it to dry.
  5. Spread the spices on the chicken. Sprinkle a tablespoon into the cavity. Spread another tablespoon under the skin of the chicken and spread one more over the skin.
  6. Put the chicken on a cookie sheet.
  7. Add the beer can, half a glass of warm water, a splash of olive oil and salt over it.

Optionally, you can make a garnish with potatoes, peppers, onions, garlic or tomatoes. These are the steps you must follow:

  1. Peel and slice the vegetables you want to accompany the beer chicken
  2. You can cut the tomato in half and add half a clove of garlic, oil and chopped parsley on top of each of the halves.
  3. You can cut the pepper into strips, as well as the onion and sprinkle with the beer, oil, water and salt of the chicken.
  4. The potatoes can be cut into slices, and additionally add sweet peppers on them.
  5. Lower the oven temperature to 180 degrees and bake everything for 45 minutes, until the chicken skin is golden brown and the potatoes and bell pepper are cooked and soft.
