Orange And Chocolate Cheesecake

All the cheesecakes are delicious. There are them for all tastes: strawberry, chocolate … And they are also very easy to make. Today we want to present you a perfect combination, an orange and chocolate cheesecake. Two recipes, one with an oven and one without an oven … and not having an oven is no longer an excuse. Orange and chocolate cheesecake

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of Maria type cookies, vanilla cookies or any other you like
  • 100-125 g of creamy butter
  • 2 tubs of cheese type Philadelphia, mascarpone or squart
  • Zest of an orange
  • 60 g of liquid cream
  • 125g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon or vanilla flavoring (optional)
  • 100 ml of natural orange juice
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 orange chocolate bars
  • 1 splash of liquor (optional)
  • Candied orange peel and chocolate shavings to decorate

Utensils:

  • 1 bowl
  • 1 mold
  • Oven
  • 1 spoon
  • A knife or grater
  • 1 shredder or a roller

  • First, put the oven to preheat to 120 ÂșC.
  • Second, crush the cookies and mix them with the butter until you make a paste that will serve as a base. You can also add a couple of tablespoons of liquor or rum to the mixture.
  • Then beat the cheese with the sugar and the liquid cream.
  • Then heat the orange juice with the chopped chocolate until it melts. It is best that you move it from time to time.
  • Then add the juice and chocolate mixture to the cheese.
  • Then add the eggs one by one and mix well.
  • Add the splash of liquor (you can choose orange), the orange zest and continue mixing.
  • Then line a mold with the biscuit base and add the mixture.
  • Then place the mold on a tray with hot water and bake between 45 minutes and 1 hour in the oven.
  • When it’s ready,  open the oven door and let it cool inside.
  • Put it in the fridge and let it cool later.
  • Garnish with candied orange and chocolate shavings. The chips can be made by grating a tablet with a knife or grater. And you have your chocolate and orange cheesecake ready.

No-Bake Orange Chocolate Cheesecake

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of Maria type cookies, vanilla cookies
  • 100-125 g of creamy butter
  • 2 tubs of cheese type Philadelphia, mascarpone or squart
  • Zest of an orange
  • 185 g of liquid cream
  • 125g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon or vanilla flavoring (optional)
  • 100 ml of natural orange juice
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 orange chocolate bars
  • 1 splash of liquor (optional)
  • Candied orange peel and chocolate shavings

Utensils:

  • 1 bowl
  • 1 removable mold
  • A spoon
  • 1 knife or grater
  • 1 shredder or a roller

    preparation:

    • Crush the cookies first and add the creamy butter. Line a mold and put in the fridge.
    • Then add all the ingredients except the cream and stir well.
    • Beat the cream until it is very firm and add it to the previous mixture.
    • Finally, take the mold out of the fridge and pour the mixture over the base.

    • This chocolate and orange cheesecake is recommended to be made in a removable mold, but lined with aluminum foil, so that when you put it in a bain-marie, no water gets inside.
    • Do not remove it from the mold until it is cold. Although as soon as you take it out of the oven, run a knife around it to unmold it later.
    • If you want you can put 2 different cheeses, half and half. You can also put less amount of cheese that is stronger or pasty.
    • Do not open the oven door while it is cooking. If you open it, you may have an uneven cheesecake that is more cooked in some parts than others. Remember that although some desserts do not have yeast, they always have to be observed with the door closed.
    • If you don’t have an electric crusher, you can crush your cookies as follows : Cut them into medium or small pieces, put them in a bag. Close it and roll it over until it is completely crushed. If you leave bits behind, then the base will not be thin.
    • If you want a light version of the cheesecake, use : Sugar-free cookies, low-fat liquid cream, low-calorie spread cheese, chocolate without added sugar and instead of sugar, natural sweetener such as stevia.
